Ingredients
- Potatoes (baby) – 400 gms
- Cumin seeds – 1tbsp
- Besan – 75 gms
- Red chilly powder- 2 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Fresh green coriander - 20gms
- oil - for frying
- Garlic pods - 5nos
- Turmeric powder -1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2tsp
- Yogurt -150gms
- Kasoori methi powder - a pinch
Method
- Peel the baby potatoes and gentle prick it with a fork. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry them on low heat till crisp and golden brown. Remove on an absorbent paper.
- Heat 3 tbsp of oil and add cumin. Once it crackles add chopped garlic. Do not brown the garlic just let it sweat.
- Now turn the heat low and add the besan. Keep stirring for 2 mins or till a fragrant smell comes. Immediately add turmeric, red chilly powder, salt and coriander powder. Saute well. Now add whisked yogurt and keep stirring till it comes to a boil.
- Add the fried potatoes sprinkle methi powder and cook till the potatoes absorb the yogurt. Sprinkle with chopped coriander and serve hot.
