Ingredients

  • Purple banana flower shredded (filaments removed) – 2 1/2cup
  • Toasted sesame -1 tbl spn
  • Green chilly chopped – 1tbl spn
  • oil – 2 tbl spn
  • Lemon – 2 nos
  • Jaggery – 100 Gms
  • Toasted peanuts – 1/2 cup
  • Mint leaves – 1 cup
  • Salt – 1/4th of a tsp

Method

  1. Thinly slice the banana flower and keep aside in a bowl. Separately in another bowl put jaggery, lemon juice, and oil. Mix in all
  2. Now sprinkle toasted sesame, peanuts chopped green chilly, mint leaves and salt on the banana flower.
  3. Pour over the dressing and mix well. Serve immediately.

Note

This crunchy salad is loaded with vitamins and the sweet and sour taste of jaggery and lemon along with oil makes for a perfect salad.
