How to Cook Makki Ki Roti

Serves 4
Prep time – 10 mins
Cooking time – 15mins

Ingredients
Radish (optional) 1 small (peeled & grated)
Salt to taste
Maize flour(makki atta) 4 cups
Radish leaves 1cup (finely chopped)
Green chilli 1 no (finely chopped)
Water as required
Ghee as required

Method
Add ½ tsp salt to the radish and leave aside for 5 minutes. Squeeze out the excess water from the grated radish.
In a bowl, add flour, a pinch of salt, grated radish, radish leaves, and green chili. Add little water to make a dough. Divide the same into 4 equal-sized balls.
Place the dough on a floured surface and roll out into discs (½ cm approx), alternatively place a plastic film/sheet on the kitchen table and lightly oil it. Place the dough and cover it with another oiled plastic film and flatten it out using your hands.
Remove the film and carefully place it on a hot griddle or a pan and cook the roti on both sides using ghee. Serve hot.
