Ingredients

  • Paneer – 250 gms
  • Besan – 4 tbsp
  • Turmeric – 3 tsp
  • Chilly flakes – 3 tsp
  • Yellow chilly powder – 2 tsp
  • Black pepper – 1tsp
  • Chaat masala – 1 tsp
  • oil – 4 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Lemon – 1no
  • Garlic chopped – 2 tbsp
  • Green coriander chopped - 2 tbsp
  • Ginger paste - 2 tsp
  • Wooden skewers -12 nos

Method

  • Cut paneer into batons of 3 inch long. Sprinkle salt, half the turmeric, ginger and garlic paste. Keep aside in a warm place for half hour. Drain the water and keep aside.
  • Heat oil and add besan to it. Cook on a very low heat till besan lightly browns. Remove from fire, add the turmeric and let it cool.
  • Now in this besan squeeze lemon, add salt, chilly flakes, chopped garlic, yellow chilly powder and black pepper.
  • Marinate the paneer in this marinade, skewer them and keep aside for 15 mins.
  • Heat a pan and drizzle oil, now cook the paneer on all sides till it browns. Once done sprinkle chaat masala and serve hot with a fresh salad.
