  • Flour -125gm
  • Sugar -125gm
  • Mixed fruit jam-140gm
  • Chocolate -300gm
  • Eggs-6no
  • Butter -50gm
  • Whipped cream -200gm
  • Milk -120ml


  • Roughly chop chocolate and place it in a bowl. Separately in a pan boil milk and pour the milk over the chocolate. Allow to rest for 5 mins. Mix well and ganache for the Yule log is ready.
  • Now fold in this Ganache with the whipped cream, making the icing for Yule Log.
  • Beat eggs with sugar till light and fluffy, slowly fold in flour and then add melted butter.
  • Spread this mixture into baking sheet about 1.5cm thick and bake at 220c for 12-15 min. Remove the thin cake sheet from oven and cool completely.
  • Whisk the jam and then spreadon the abovecake sheet. Now from one end start rolling it like a log.
  • Cut the log into three different sizes and putting it together forming a shape of wooden log from a tree.
  • Fill a piping bag with ganache and using a star nozzle pipe straight line on the cake log giving an effect of a wooden log.
