Ingredients

  • Dry red chilly (thick) – 200 gms
  • Onion – 1no
  • Water – 1lt
  • Oil – 2/3 cup
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Ginger – 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Garlic – 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Vinegar – 3 tbsp
  • Soya sauce – 2 1/2 tbsp
  • Soya sauce – 2 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp

Method

  • Pull out the stems and empty out the seeds, discard both. Add very little water and boil the chillies and onion till it is tender. Strain and blend coarsely along with some oil and salt. Heat remaining oil and chopped ginger, garlic and cook a little. Add the paste and bhunno it. Add rest of the ingredients and cook till oil surfaces.
